Standards
The industry standards used by REPs Ireland are based upon the European standards developed by the Europe Active, European Health & Fitness Association (EHFA). http://www.ehfa-standards.eu/es-standards
Education providers who express an interest in becoming a REPs Ireland approved provider must attend a mandatory briefing session before beginning the audit process. On completion of the audit process and education provider will be approved for a period of 2 years at which point a re-audit must take place.
All education providers that receive accreditation from REPs Ireland have completed an auditing process that ensures the alignment of standards to their course/programme. Education Providers must map their course delivery and assessment to these standards and also ensure that they comply with the REPs Ireland Endorsement Guidelines. These guidelines outline the criteria in terms of organisational structure, management systems, facilities/ equipment, quality assurance and standardisation practices.
