The Leisure, Health and Fitness (LHF) Skillnet has secured further funding from Skillnet Ireland as part of the Government Job Stimulus Plan. This programme aims to facilitate the rapid upskilling and reskilling of workers that have lost their jobs or have been impacted by Covid-19. Its aim is to support the workforce development needs of REPs Ireland and Ireland Active members. The LHF Skillnet offer a number/selection of industry-led and fully funded programmes for people who are not in employment (subject to eligibility criteria and the availability of places). The courses focus on providing trainees with the essential skills they need to upskill in the leisure, health and fitness industry and to also provide the essential skills for those looking to enter a new area of our industry. The ‘Skills Connect’ programme offers a diverse suite of targeted and innovative learning solutions aimed at supporting re-entry into the leisure, health and fitness workforce.
