Joining the Register

REPs Ireland automatically accepts applications from individuals to access the national Register for Exercise Professionals if they have received their qualification(s) through Education Providers who have been audited by REPs Ireland. To check the list of approved providers please select here.

Renewing Membership

Registered members will have to review membership each year. This can be done so selecting ‘renew’ below. If you have additional qualifications or CPD to include as part of your renewed membership please log into your account before renewing and uploading your most recent qualifications. To request login details please email info@repsireland.ie

Applicants will be asked to produce evidence of continued education every 2 years to maintain REPs Ireland registration, for more information on this please see the CPD section on our website.

Membership Fees

Membership is priced at €65 and must be renewed annually
*Facilities taking part in the Ireland Active National Quality Standard Award can register staff in bulk for a reduced fee, please email info@repsireland.ie for more info

Insurance

It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure appropriate insurance cover is in place while practicing as an exercise professional. Professional Indemnity/Malpractice/Public Liability Insurance can be purchased through our partner insurance provider and is available to REPs Ireland members at reduced cost of €105 per annum.
In order to avail of the discounted insurance, you must have a current REPs Ireland membership. After registering/renewing you will be issued with an email link to avail of the discounted rate insurance.

International Qualifications

REPs Ireland can accept registration applications from applicants who have recognised qualifications and registration with other national REPs registers. A ‘letter of portability’ from the national register must be provided in this case and emailed to info@repsireland.ie alongside a copy of your qualification certificate and any CPD education that has been conducted.

REPs Ireland may require additional evidence to support this type of application.

Other Qualifications

If the country you have completed your education in does not have a national REPs register, REPs Ireland may also accept applications from individuals who have received qualifications (1) in a country that has no National Register or (2) from an Irish Training Provider not audited by REPs Ireland.

This type of application is constituted as ‘non-standard’ and will require full oversight of applicants’ education, knowledge, skills, competencies and industry experience. This type of application will take a much longer time to process and will incur additional costs. Please email info@repsireland.ie for more information and costs.
